Meet the Moms Behind Door2Dorms

Door2Dorms was founded by two South Florida moms, Meredith and Alina, who understand firsthand how exciting and overwhelming the transition to college can be.

With five children between them attending multiple schools, including the United States Naval Academy, the University of Florida, and Vanderbilt University, they have experienced the challenges of college move-ins, summer programs, shipping, storage, and supporting students away from home.

After years of helping each other navigate those experiences, they realized other families needed the same kind of trusted support. That shared experience inspired them to create Door2Dorms.

Alina brings more than 25 years of experience in education, along with a deep understanding of the needs of students and their families.

Meredith brings experience as the owner and operator of a successful gift-basket and party-favor business, making her the perfect person to create thoughtful, personalized care packages.

Together, they combine professional experience with something even more important: the perspective of moms who have been through it themselves.

Our Mission

At Door2Dorms, our goal is to make college life easier for students and give their families peace of mind.

We provide concierge services to receive, organize, inventory, and deliver students’ packages during move-in weekend. We also offer summer storage, personalized care packages, and seasonal supply refreshes.

Everything is handled with the same care and attention we would give our own children.
